I had a very positive experience. It helped that I am in an industry were women talk to me about cosmetic surgery all the time. Over the last 20 years I have been involved in numerous discussions about Plastic Surgeons, procedures, outcomes and customer satisfaction. This made it easier for me to choose a doctor and be confident with my choice. I was very nervous on the day of the procedure but the nursing staff were gentle and friendly and made me feel taken care of. I had minimal pain and bruising post op and home care was well explained to me. Ask me again in about six months when the true results of the fat transfers are expected but so far I am very happy.

Dr Duminy's calm demeanour immediately put me at ease during our consultation. His experience was evident in the way he spoke to me and I felt very trusting of his judgment and advice. When I went in to have my procedure done (mini abdominal lipectomy) I had it done under conscious sedation as he recommended. This meant that I was awake the entire time, I never felt a moment of anxiety or stress and had the enormous benefit of not suffering the after effects of a general anaesthetic (they always make me vomit). Dr Duminy's demeanour throughout surgery remained calm and professional and he addressed all of my queries with respect and patience. I felt that I was in the hands of an extremely capable and experienced surgeon and I would not hesitate to recommend him to any of my friends or family members.I am now two days post-surgery and I am relatively pain free and very mobile and extremely happy!

Like many people considering elective surgery I had a lot of concerns, worries and questions about the procedure involved. I had a consultation with Dr. Duminy based on personal recommendation as I was interested in blepharoplasty for cosmetic and medical reasons. After consultation it was suggested that I undergo just upper lid blepharoplasty with facial fat grafting. This turned out to be excellent advice. The surgery went very well. It wasn't as painful as I thought it was going to be, though obviously there was some discomfort which lasted around 2 weeks. However, 2 weeks of discomfort is a small price to pay for a fantastic result. I am extremely pleased with the outcome. Dr. Duminy and his entire staff were very approachable and professional, and I can thoroughly recommend them. The Doctor said it would take around six months for the best results to be shown and this had proven to be the case. I am very happy with the outcome, which looks very natural, fresher and healthier.

Nine years ago I wanted to go for a breast reduction. The PS at that time told me to loose 20kg and then get back to her. I started karate to lose weight but I could not get my weight down by 20kg. I went to see my GP for a problem with my hand and he asked me if I did not want to have a breast reduction operation. He told me about Dr Francois Duminy. He is coming from Cape Town up to Windhoek, Namibia. I decided to go for it and made an appointment. My first appointment was 12 May 2015. He told me I was a good candidate for a breast reduction operation. He took measurement and photos. He also told me my bra size that I am wearing at that stage was wrong. I measure for a 44J bra. He told me about the cuts he was going to do. It is a lollipop cut and not a teddy bear face cut. He explain to me that the cuts was going to be very rough in the beginning but with the right plaster support and underwire bra it will look great after 8 months. He also explain to me the two options for anaesthetic. Local or general anaesthetics. He prefer to do local anaesthetics but he total understand that I wanted to go for general anaesthetics. I had my operation on 8 June 2015. He was very nice when he did all the measurement for the operation and the photos. He even hold my hand when he saw that I was a bit tense when I got my anaesthetics. I saw him the next day and he told me everything went fine during the operation. My next appointment with him is 13 August 2015. Circle Medical Centre, Windhoek Namibia is doing the dressings of the scars. I must also compliment Dr Francois Duminy on his staff that is coming to Namibia with him. Junita van As is a wonderful personal assistant. She sent me e-mails and answer all my e-mails very quickly. Then a great thanks to his Registered Nurse, Sue Wilson. She was very helpful with everything and was also willing to buy me bras in Cape Town if I could not find any in Windhoek. She was very supported after my operation and with the follow up appointment. I also read Dr Francois Duminy's CV and was most impressed with his achievement.

I have had several cosmetic procedures done by D Duminy over the past 10 years. He is by far the most competent cosmetic reconstructive surgeon Cape Town has to offer. His kind attentive manner goes a long way to instill absolute confidence in his patient. His team of nurses and other staff members work fantastically as a team. The pre and postoperative care is phenomenal. The nurses will do as many home visits as required by the individual patient. As a great bonus the resident Beautition/Somatologist, Debbie Danks provides a consultation as part of your cosmetic procedure package. I reccomend Dr Francois Duminy with complete confidence.
